Rajashree is a National Award-winning filmmaker and bestselling novelist. She has recently written some commissioned scripted series, including one for Sudhir Mishra. She started off by assisting Sudhir Mishra and Sanjay Leela Bhansali after studying Film Direction at the Film & Television Institute of India, Poona. A film she wrote and directed, The Rebel, won the National Award. She has written and directed many short films and ads for social media. She’s worked as a producer on shows like Indian Idol and directed shows for television. She’s served as the convenor of the Events Committee at the Screenwriters Association. Her debut novel, Trust Me, is one of the biggest-selling Indian chick-lit novels according to the Times of India – it’s probably sold more copies than any other Indian chick-lit novel. Trust Me was officially selected for the inaugural Books to Box Office vertical at the Film Bazaar in IFFI, Goa, 2022. She is represented by Isabel Atherton, a literary agent based in New York and London.
