Ruchi Joshi is a freelance Writer and Director of (Films, Web series, Short Films & Commercials). She is the Director of ‘Imperfect and is the writer and director of the socio-political satire “The Idiot” (Murakh).
She grew up in the beautiful city of Ahmedabad in Gujarat and has a deep passion for writing and cinema. Her short film ‘The Idiot’ (Murakh), was showcased in various Indian and International film festivals including the 39th Cairo International Film Festival, 40th Asian American International Film Festival, New York, 11th International Documentary and Short Film Festival of Kerala, Large Short Perfect 10 at MAMI and won many awards and acclaim. During the pandemic, Ruchi wrote a series for Netflix based on a significant historical event and an investigative thriller for Hotstar. She has directed an original series titled ‘Imperfect’ produced by Times Group and Still and Still Media Production. It is now streaming on Zee5 and MX Player and an original series titled Nishedh Season 2 (2022) produced by Happy Hours Entertainment that is currently streaming on Voot
